Herb Specialization:

Due to differences in the body needs, guests will be asked to complete an intake form to determine their steam & herbs specialization for service. Steam levels & herbs blends may differ depending on guest's needs.

SPA SERVICE POLICIES
Services are not included with the admission (all guests are required to purchase a general admission pass if they plan to schedule a service)
All customers with a spa reservation must check-in 30 minutes prior to service time or Island Spa has the right to cancel the appointment.
All guests must fill out their service intake form prior to their appointment in order to receive their service. Service intake forms can be found in guests' appointment confirmation email or on QR codes found near our service departments in store.
All customers receiving a spa service have the right to stop their treatment 5 minutes into the service. However, dissatisfaction after the full service will not grant any refund. If dissatisfied, you must let us know within the 5 minute timeframe provided.
We strongly recommend making a prior reservation at least 3-5 days in advance for all service appointments. Walk-in appointments will be available on a first-come, first-served basis only.
All service durations include preparation and change time.
Guests reserving multiple services in different departments (e.g. Massage & Facial, Massage & Body Scrub, or Body Scrub & Facial) are required to reserve a 30-minute customer recovery time when booking online.
Pregnant guests and/or guests experiencing their menstrual cycle are not eligible for a yoni steam service.
Due to high risk, services for our pregnant guests are only allowed if they are within 13-36 weeks. Guests that are not within that range of pregnancy we cannot and do not recommend receiving services for their safety. The following services are currently available for our pregnant guests between 13-36 weeks. (listed below)

SERVICE CANCELLATION POLICIES (listed below)

Service cancellations made over 12 hours prior to the scheduled appointment will receive no charge.
Service cancellations that are given less than 12 hours prior to scheduled appointments will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price for each service.
Failure to show up for scheduled appointments will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service price.
APPOINTMENT RESCHEDULING POLICIES (listed below)

Guests will be permitted only 1 complimentary reschedule in the event that notice is given more than 12 hours prior to their scheduled appointment.
Guests are permitted 1 complimentary reschedule within 12 hours of the appointment if the appointment is within the same department only. (Changing departments within this timeframe will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price.)
Rescheduling an appointment within 15 minutes of the designated start time will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price.
Any appointments rescheduled from one department to another within 12 hours of the appointment's start time, such as changing an appointment from a body massage to a facial, will result in a 25% charge of the reserved service price.
Once rescheduled, the new appointment cannot be cancelled or otherwise altered in any way without incruing either a 25% charge of the reserved service price when notified beforehand or a 100% charge of the reserved service price upon failure to show up for the scheduled appointment. (To clarify, once an appointment is rescheduled in this way there will be no option for cancellation without a charge)
Guests who arrive late will be charged in full for their scheduled service but will receive an abbreviated prorated service. However, depending on the availability of services, guests who arrive late may be able to reschedule their service(s) to a later time.

 What To Expect:

The Yoni Steam service is 45 minutes for the actual service, however you can expect to spend up to two hours from beginning to end.

 

One of our specially trained Guest Care Associates will escort you to the yoni room. Our Yoni room has four chairs so that you can enjoy the time with some girlfriends. Of course, you’ll only be scheduled with women you know, so if you scheduled by yourself, the room will be set up for one. Our Guest Care team properly prepares every aspect of your Yoni, ensuring that the steam from the herbs is ready to go when you walk in the room, that the candles are lit and all your questions answered.

 

You’ll be left for a few minutes to prepare yourself for your steam. Remove all of your clothing (you’ll get pretty steamy all over, so we find it best to remove all clothing) and put on a yoni cape. We have aromatherapy throughout the spa coupled with relaxing music. We hope you are able to use the time to meditate and refresh. We also realize in this ever-connected world, sometimes it’s nice to use the time to chat with friends that have come with you, text your friends not there, or catch up on some reading.

 

Our Guest Care Associate will come check on you once you’re in your cape to ensure your footstool is properly positioned to get you the best vantage point for the steam and to confirm the temperature feels good. As well, if you’ve requested any, they’ll happily bring in any snacks or drinks you’d like. You’ll then enjoy your steam for 15 minutes. Use your cape to control how much steam you are getting – carefully tuck it in around you to get more steam or if you’re feeling to warm, lift it open to let some steam out. At the halfway point, the Guest Care member helping you will come to check on you. They’ll bring with them some cloths that have been soaked in ice water and an essential oil blend. These toning infused towels are a great contrast to the steam and feel wonderful on your neck, shoulders and décolletage.

 

When you’ve enjoyed the last 15 minutes of your service, your Guest Care attendant will come back to let you know the service has ended. We have wipes to freshen up as you get dressed. Please leave your cape on the floor. Your Guest Care attendant will properly sanitize the chair, steam pots, cape and towels after your service is complete. You may enjoy the relaxation lounge as you wait for your next service (a massage or facial is an excellent follow up to your Yoni) or proceed to the lobby to check out your service. We offer several carefully selected natural based product lines to care for your skin, your body and your senses. Your service total is $70 for each person, $60 when you come with at least one other woman. Of course, as with any service-oriented purchase, if you feel like you received great service you are welcome to provide gratuity for the Guest Care Associate that attended to you during your service. Most guests leave gratuity between $5 to $15 for each visit.

 

If you know your calendar and schedule at the end of your service, you’ll receive a 5% discount for pre-booking on the same day. Most women come once per month, generally if you’re addressing menstrual cramps the week before or after your menstrual cycle begins is great. Other women, especially those looking to address fertility or postpartum healing and toning, choose to come as many as three times per month, getting a steam each week they are not on their menstrual cycle. Women addressing menopause come every few months. Really, it’s a matter of finding the right cadence for your body.

What to Expect After Your Service?

The Flourished Spa has created a place to ensure you receive the most relaxing, rejuvenating service. We have carefully selected our source for the herbs to ensure you receive the maximum benefits. Most women come out of our Yoni room feeling calmed, comforted and de-stressed. The steam will have increased your blood circulation during your service. Some may find their next period to much lighter and more pleasant than before, others may require four to seven services to experience all of the benefits. We have even heard of some women experiencing a much heavier, darker, thicker menstrual cycle the first time after. Most women have seen this as a full release and experience a much better menstrual cycle the next time around. It’s suggested to continue two to three Yoni Steams to fully understand how it will benefit you, be patient and listen to your body.

What are the contraindications for a Yoni Steam?
A contraindication is factor or condition that would serve as a reason to not do a service. We don’t recommend getting a Yoni Steam if you are experiencing any of the following conditions:

 

Menstruation: the steam increases your blood flow, enhancing your circulation which can then cause heavy bleeding during menstruation.
Pregnancy: the steam relaxes and opens the cervix, while the herbs address balancing of your hormones, both of which could result in miscarriage or early labor.
Internal infection or open sores: while the herbs do have anti-bacterial properties, it is best to wait until after your infections have cleared up before steaming.
Intrauterine Device (IUD): the herbs combined with the steam are intended to cause your uterus to soften and contract which could make your IUD shift or come out altogether, which would make it less effective.

Etiquette:

  • Please do not bring unattended babies/toddlers to your lash appointment. Please understand that your artist is on a tight schedule of appointments and they need to pay 100% attention to your lashes.

​

  • Cell phone use, talking or texting is strictly limited. Your eyes must be closed during the entire application. It could cause potential burning, if eyes are opened.

​

  • Please do not wear mascara or eyeliner on the top and bottom lashes when coming into your lash appointment. This makes cleaning extremely hard which, could cause early shed.

​

Late Policy:
If you are running late to an appointment we ask that you call us to let us know, otherwise we will assume you will not be showing up and may release the appointment. If you are less than 15 minutes late we will try our best to make your lashes as full as possible in the time allotted. You will still be charged full price. If you are more than 15 minutes late we will try our best to accommodate you but reserve the right to reschedule your appointment if we are unable to. Please keep in mind we will always do our best to accommodate your session.

Cell Phone Policy:
We ask that all cell phones are tuned off or on silent in the treatment rooms. If you are receiving a lash session we ask that you do not open your eyes to check devices until after your session is complete being that our lash specialists are using tweezers, adhesive and other items near the delicate eye area and this takes time away from your service and may irritate eyes during and/or after your session.

​

Lash Fill Policies:
If more than 50% of your lashes are detached or grown out it will be considered a new full set of lashes.
2 Week Fills: No more than 30% loss of initial set
3 Week Fills: No more than 50% loss of initial set
4+ Week Fills: You will need a new full set of lashes. Even if you have great lash retention, lashes need maintenance to ensure your lashes are happy and healthy. We must remove lashes that are grown out to prevent them from causing damage to the natural lash.

Fixing Lashes:

  • If you experience an unusual shed (more than 6 per eye per day) within the first 3 days, please contact and send us a picture of your lashes, your artist will determine the cause and fix them for you. Please do not book another appointment online without contacting us! The time slot reserved are different therefore, you may need to pay for that slot that you have reserved your own.

​

  • Fixing policy will not count towards:

  • Tardiness (due to your artist did not have adequate time to work on your lashes).

  • Uncleaned lashes (ie. coming with your makeup such as eyeliner/mascara on your eyes will prevent glue to properly adhere therefore causing early shedding).

  • Work from other places (if you book a refill instead of starting fresh with a full set from our studio, please expect that products and techniques will be different. Please allow a couple of visits before you see result.

  • If you contact us after 3 days, it will be considered a Mini/Emergency Fill option.

Foreign Fill Policies:

We kindly require all of our clients with existing lash extensions from other salons/spas to book a consultation FIRST before booking a fill appointment. We must first assess the work to be sure we can work over it. If we cannot work over the existing work, we will recommend a removal and full set. If you are unable to come in for a consultation first, we recommend booking a full set to ensure your lash artist has enough time with you.

​

Makeup Policy:
Please thoroughly remove all makeup before coming to your lash session. Eyes must be clean and oil free upon arrival otherwise we will charge a $15 makeup removal fee and the time spent thoroughly removing your makeup will be deducted from your session and you will still pay the full price. We are unable to properly adhere semi-permanent lash extensions on lashes that have makeup/residue buildup and in more serious cases, it can lead to irritation and infection.
